Racing Videos

The media player below provides access to streaming videos of famous races.  At present the list includes every Kentucky Derby since 1969 plus other personal favorites.  We will continue to add races on a regular basis.  The playlist is sorted first by year and then alphabetically by race.  Each video file is several megabytes in size.  Therefore, a good broadband connection is recommended for viewing.  We also recommend viewing with color quality set to 32-bit.

In the months leading up to the classics we will include videos of graded prep races.  They appear at the top of the list in chronological order.  For example, "080101-Tropical Park Derby (G3T)" refers to the Grade 3 Tropical Park Derby run on the grass on January 1, 2008.

Below the media player is a brief description of each race (other than the classic preps).
